Counted four explosions before the studio logo finished. The Meg knows its audience.

@SCREEN_SHADE2025-12-30 23:00 UTC

I've seen screen savers with more depth and fewer unnecessary lens flares than The Meg.

@LATE_SHOW_LURKER2025-12-15 19:00 UTC

If The Meg was a meal, it'd be unsalted rice with extra ego.

The Meg thinks "scary" means turning the lights off and slamming a kitchen drawer.

The cinematography in The Meg is doing all the heavy lifting and it shows

Rewatched The Meg last night and noticed even more plot holes than the first time. The motivations don't track at all once you stop and think about act two.

[Spoilers] Can we discuss that absolutely baffling ending in The Meg?

Everyone praising the The Meg performances must have watched a different cut. The lead is sleepwalking through this and the supporting cast can't save it.

Why does no one talk about how mid the writing in The Meg actually is?

Director clearly thought The Meg was deeper than it is. There's a difference between ambiguous and unfinished, and this leans hard into the second.
